CAs Share Neurons
- I think (hetero) associative memory is very important cognitively.
- CAs can be associated with other CAs via large synaptic strength.
- They can also be associated by sharing neurons. This is probably
a stronger association.
- This also enables a lot more CAs to be stored with the same number of
neurons, because the number of CAs is no longer limited to the number
of neurons divided by a constant (the size of the neuron).
- For that matter, it's not clear if membership of a neuron in a CA is
graded,
- if the CAs themselves can fractionate into new CAs (hierarchical
concepts),
- or if CAs can be dynamically combined (binding).
