Vowels are Symbols

This is the Neural Symbolic Learning and Reasoning Workshop
Vowels are symbols.
This talk is about learning those symbols.
In some sense, it's symbol grounding.
Elsewhere we've shown that we can do full fledged symbol processing with symbols based on these simulated neurons.
The goal in this speech recognition research is to learn sounds in a biologically plausible manner.
