• A good measure is 5 minutes per slide, though people usually have less time per slide.
• Practice your talk.
• Give yourself a back up in case you start to run out of time.
• Don't just start talking faster, just start dropping slides sensibly.
• Similarly, you might want to have some optional slides in case things are going too fast.
• You want to avoid reading your slides. People will read them, you need to speak to the slides.
• Speak at a good speed, taking pauses.
