Writing helps your research

• Again obviously, writing helps your research because a publication is a good means of dissemination.
• To restate, writing helps your thinking so it helps your research.
• Writing also helps your research with your immediate colleagues.
• Give your writing to colleagues and it enables you to discuss your research with them.
• You can discuss ideas without the writing, but they are much less coherent.
• Writing of course helps you think about your research.
• Writing can lead to compartmentalization of research, but that is just a solid compartment to base future work on.
