• How long does it take for LTP or LTD to actually take place?
• The change is often modelled as a permanent change. Is it? If not, how long does it last?
• Trappenberg's figure 4.5 suggests that it happens in less than a minute.
• It seems that it's going to take more than a minute for a neuron to build or expand its neurotransmitter pump.
• Next week we talk about short term changes. Is it possible that Trappenberg's figure is the result of short term change?
