Hetero Associative Memory

• There seems to be some pretty solid evidence that a lot of human psychological memory is associative.
• That's also called Hetero Associative Memory or just Associative Memory.
• Auto Associative Memory is pattern completion.
• There is some old work in associating one pattern with another.
• If the network is well connected, it can shift from one pattern to another via these associations.
• While it is clear that human memory has a large associative component,
• it is also clear that neurons are not well connected.
• The biological basis of (hetero) associative memory is not well understood.
