Izhikevich Neurons

• Izhikevich neurons are designed to account for these different firing behaviours.
• They still collect activation, but they have an extra variable, the recovery value (u).
• This has four important parameters: a, b, c and d.
• When the neuron fires, the parameters are used to set the recovery value and voltage.
• Different parameters allow different behaviour for different inputs.
• So, one set of parameters allow regular spiking, and another chattering.
• This is a reverberate and fire model.
