• The state of the art in AI is to solve a domain specific problem.
• State of the art AI systems can not solve domain general problems.
• In some sense this is good news, because we can get jobs solving domain specific problems.
• Or rather, we can get jobs to write programs that solve domain specific problems.
• Good AI researchers are good programmers.
• AI techniques are broadly applicable throughout software.
• I'm looking for people to do research in AI.
