Ramifications

• What are the ramifications of distribution of games?
• You need to deal with connectivity.
• You need to deal with distribution of process and data.
• How parallel is it? Do you play with up to 10 others, or thousands?
• It allows interaction with real people, and as we know real people are a lot more interesting than AIs (at least now).
• The funding model may change.
• Games development will involve a lot more client server issues.
• I think games are going to continue to get more interesting.
