Force
- The force require to make one KG move from rest to
a speed of one meter per second in one second is called a Newton.
(That was new to me.)
- Force is not needed to move something, but to change its motion.
- A force applied to an object will cause it to accelerate in the
direction of the force.
- a=F/m -> F=ma
- So if we know the force on an object, and its mass, then we can
tell its acceleration and thus its location over time.
- So, if there is a 2 Newton Force on a 100 kg object that is
at rest, its acceleration will be F/m at time 1. That's 2/100 or .02
m/sec^2.
- That means its velocity is .02 at 1s, and if the force continues
.04 at 2s.
- What happens if the force is a one off?
