Stable Bumps
- What we didn't expect was two streams of neurons firing.

- If we presented, for instance, warm and coke, we got two stable bumps
firing.
- What happened is that the neurons on the end of the range inhibit those
in the middle. Those in the middle excite each other, but there is
competition, and the ends are only inhibited from one side, so they win.
