Translate the Theory
- I don't (particularly) mean to translate it to a new natural language.
- What I mean is translate it to a new audience.
- If you really understand a theory, you can start to explain
it to people who don't know about it.
- This can be other academics, but it can also be non-academics,
and even children.
- Great theories are often not that complex.
- (Gravity is about objects attracting each other.)
- By doing the translation, you widen the audience for the theory.
- You also engage with the theory in a new way, and thus understand
more about it.
- You could also translate it for a scholarly audience in a paper.
