Clearing
- The binding mechanism can be reused enabling the system to
count again.
- The synaptic weights between the bind node and the final
internal CA is erased by a process of spontaneous activation.
- In the brain, neurons fire without any input; that is, they
fire spontaneously.
- We simulate this, by randomly firing neurons in the internal
network and the bind network.
- Compensatory learning in essence erases the binding.
- Since the bound neurons rarely co-fire, their mutual synaptic
weight decreases.
- After this unbinding or clearing process, the system can be
used again.
