Problems with Synchrony
- First of all, there is little doubt that neurons in a CA
fire synchronously,
- but this does not mean that binding is done via synchrony,
and it certainly does not mean that all binding is done
via synchrony.
- Problems with binding via synchrony:
- There is a limits to the number of different bindings.
- It is computationally more expensive (only a simulation problem).
- Unbound CAs could still be synchronous.
- It is not clear how binding is manifested.
