How are CAs Formed
- CAs are formed by learning.
- Again, the systems may be predisposed to learn certain things,
but it still has to learn.
- Learning strengthens the connections between neurons.
- Learning is done by using localist Hebbian learning rules.
- Neurons are activated by sensory organs.
- If things tend travel around together, then the neurons associated
with those things are activated.
- The connections between those things are strengthend.
- You learn CAs for things that tend to travel around together.
- Thus CAs represent grounded concepts.
- Of course, a lot of concepts are far away from the senses, but
these are compsed of neurons that are getting input from other
CAs.
- Reverberation gives support for Long-Term Memories.
