The Cognitive Architecture Competition

• In the spring, some colleagues and I put a proposal in for EPSRC funding for the Cognitive Architectures Competition.
• It was rejected on a technicality, and we're planning on resubmitting in November.
• The proposal can be found here.
• I want to use the first part of this seminar to help develop this proposal.
• I could ask a question like What is a good way for humanity in general to develop an AI? That's kind of the point of this work, but it is a really hard question.
• Instead, let's try something a bit more simple. The main goal of the proposal is to develop a community.
• This of course is a classic Knowledge Management problem.
• What is a good mechanism to develop a community to develop the abilities and use of AI systems?
• Let's have a discussion about ways to do this?
• How might you tell which way is better?
• What does it mean to be better?
