Questions
- A really important part of a talk is the conversation, which
often has a lot to do with questions.
- Will you take questions during the talk, or will you take them
at the end? (During increases interaction.)
- A good thing to do in large audiences is to repeat the question.
- At the end of my answer, I often ask if I've answered the question.
- Some times people get agressive with questions. A good thing
to say is "I'll look into that".
- Remember it's your talk, so you can move on from questions with
something like "I'll talk with you after the talk".
- It's nice to keep the slides up so you can go back to answer
with the picture.
- If you don't know the answer, say you don't know.
- In less formal talks, a lot of the "talk" can be questions and responses.
- You can ask the audience questions.
