Speak To Your Audience

• Speak to the level of your audience.
• If they know things, give them a brief introduction to orient them.
• If they don't know things, you have to tell them.
• This can be tricky because you don't always know your audience.
• Also, your audience can have a mixed background.
• You can take advantage of interactions with the audience to see what they understand. (This is really important when teaching.)
• Of course, the interactions can really mess up your timing.
• You can also do a bit of research about your audience before hand.
