• Writing articles for journals and conferences is often a challenge.
• Make sure you get the format and length right.
• Make sure it's relevant to the publication.
• Read back issues of the journal or conference to assure yourself of these things.
• Try to give yourself time to do the work.
• You want to have someone else read it before you submit.
• Allow some time for them to read, and for you to incorporate their comments.
