Complexity

• So now we've gone from candles to evolution.
• Let's note that experiments can become much more sophisticated than one independent and one dependent variable.
• As they become more sophisticated, statistics can help tease apart the variables.
• At some point, complexity overwhelms the problem, and less straight forward methods are needed.
• I think benchmarks and competitions fit in here.
• Qualitative methods are probably further along this spectrum of dealing with complexity.
