Circular and Circuit

• One mechanism two combine methods is to combine them in a cycle or a circuit.
• Cresswell doesn't mention it.
• In software design methodology (not research methodology) this is called the waterfall method.
• You do one, then another, then you go back to the first.
• Or you have several methods, you push forward as you can.
• When you notice problems you go back up the waterfall, and then cascade back down again.
• This leaves a lot of flexibility but does put the onus on the researcher (not the plan) to manage.
