- Nodes can have any value
- Arcs can also have any value
- Usually the arc relationship goes in one direction, with the implied
reverse relationship in the other direction (covered-by -> covers)
- Typically, the semantic net has a small fixed number of primitives
as arcs
- This is because these are the main things that the Net can
be used for
- A particularly important relationship is Inheritence which is
described by the label Is-A
