Semantic Nets

• Semantic Nets represent concepts and relationships between concepts
• They are a graph structure
• Concepts are represented by nodes, and relations by arcs
• It's all about associations
• When you come up with the slots in a DB table you specify the important relationships
• These relationships would occur in the Semantic Net, but other less important ones would also occur.
• Do you remember the 10 question game? Why did that work? Associations.
