Computational Biological Models

• Part of the problem of modelling the brain is that there are a lot of neurons, and it's not clear how groups function in isolation, or if that's even a reasonable question to ask.
• Another part of the problem is that it's not entirely clear what computational neural models to use, and how they are connected.
• I mentioned Reconstruction and Simulation of Neocortical Microcircuitry (2015) H. Markram et al.
• This does an almost Herculian task on a bit of cortex.
• It, however, does no cognitive calculation.
