Computer Vision
   - About a quarter of our cortex is devoted to vision.

   - It's really complex for humans, and current machine systems do
not do as well as people for a host of tasks.

   - That said, computer vision is used in the Google car, and
it works (though it uses other sensors too).

   - Systems work on static pictures and on film.

   - Vision is really quite separate from the rest of AI with its own
       journals and conferences.
