Process

• A lot of KR works with nouns: facts, objects, places.
• Process is about verbs.
• I think process is one of the great problems in AI and KR.
• Firstly, one can deal with events.
• Secondly, one can start to deal with time. Time is really hard and fits in with the frame problem.
• How does one represent a process?
• One really cool thing is that you can represent any process by a series of rules.
• Of course, one could also represent a process with a program.
• There is some work in Genetic Programming for learning programs.
• This also fits in with state transitions.
• Process is tough.
