• Goals and subgoals are a way of decomposing a problem.
• This way of doing AI has a long history of research, so you can look at the ups and downs.
• Like many other things, a little bit of subgoaling is easy, but as you try to do more with goals, it becomes more difficult.
• However, these are difficulties that people face, so they may lead to more human like agents.
