Prelude to Search

• Search and state space is good old fashioned AI. That's the way I learned it.
• Marvin Minsky (read Societies of the Mind) is one of the fathers of AI.
• He feels that the way to real AI is better search.
• You can use more sophisticated searches when you have values on options.
• We discussed some in the first search lecture and we'll discuss more in the second search lecture.
