Priming
- Perception is dependent on prior thoughts (priming/set).
- That is, context is relevant.
- This can be acounted for by an increased base-line of activation.
Since the CA is already rather active, external stimulation activates
it more easily.
- Thoughts are not always stimulated by external stimulation.
- Neurons do activate by themselves.
- A CA can be activated without any input.
- One can postulate a system for control of system-wide activation.
- Or activation levels might just emerge.
