Parse Timing
- The second result is more interesting from a pyscholinguistic
perspective.
- It parses in simulated time similar to humans.
- I found some human data on parsing sentences with PP attachments by
Van Gompel using eye tracking.
- Van Gompel gave the data by word groups.
- It's a bit ad hoc (I tweaked it to get it close), and
the readings seem very slow, but you can see that it
is pretty close.
- Note that the neural timings are relatively true. Neurons
rarely fire more than once every 10 ms.
- So, I've got the first real neural parser timing data, and
- it does what people do.
