Aircraft Control
- Tony White is leading an EPSRC/Airbus grant proposal for
aircraft control.
- William Wong, Martin Loomes and I are co-investigators.
- We are proposing to use CAs to control aircraft.
- This is based on a large number of sensors and actuators in
new generation active aircraft.
- The hope is that CAs will be able to integrate information from these
sensors and actuators in sensible way.
- They also should be able to provide information back to the
pilot and engineers in a sensible way due to their ability
to symbol ground.
- This is early days. If it fails I'm still interested in doing
some other type of control work with CAs.
