Chris' Interests
- I think the best way to build really intelligent AI is to follow
the human model. That means embodied, following neural behaviour,
and following psychological behaviour.
- What I'm most interested in is figuring out how to do that.
- On the way, we'll figure out things about how the brain and mind work,
and build cool AI systems.
- That means I'm interested in how neurons work and learn.
- I'm interested in different types of neurons and different types of
learning. That includes short term, long term, and structural
plasticity.
- I'm interested in how actual biological circuits work,
- in how embodied agents can work,
- in developmental systems,
- and (perhaps surprisingly because I haven't mentioned it much), how
the brain understands and creates language.
- If you want to talk about any of this or
- (still my beating heart) actually start with some simulated
implementation, I'm happy to chat.
