What Epistemology is Good For?

We're not doing research in Epistemology, but we're using it for our research.
We're all part of the scientific community, and we're trying to develop useful things.
To do this, we try to understand things, to get something like truth.
How do we understand things? How do we get truth?
Both of these involve the community.
They also both are at the heart of Epistemology (the study of meaning).
We're not going to discuss cutting edge Epistemological questions.
However, we are going to discuss two core Epistemoloigcal issues, Truth and Theories.
A theory makes a body of knowledge cohere. A good theory is a nice rung on the ladder to truth.
Screen and Electrical Theory.
A great theory is "true" and useful.
