Cognitive Models and Architectures
- CAs (hopefully) are the basis of thought.
- Thus they should be a basis for a cognitive model or architecture
- A CA-based architecture would be qualitiatively different than
an ES based architecture like ACT, Soar or EPIC.
- They have to tack on mechanisms for forgetting, learning and
memory capacity.
- It should fall out of a CA-based model.
- This is where I'm hoping to go. I'm nowhere near it. Do you
want to talk or even program?
- John Laird (Soar) knows about CAs and is interested in
collaborating here.
- The point of this CA stuff is that it does it the way people do.
You can be at the forefront of implementing and taking advantage
of that.
