Artificial General Intelligence
- This Turing test passing stuff is now called Artificial General
Intelligence (AGI).
- There are a lot of proposed solutions for AGI, but I think
the one that will eventually work is the Hard AI approach.
- We'll continue to understand people better and better.
- We'll have better and better cognitive models (models
of how some thought process, like driving a car, is done).
- These will come from our understanding of Psychology and neurons;
and our models of those neurons, and of networks of neurons.
- These artificial brains will be connected to agents that
exist in environments. It's a lot easier for an agent
to learn from an environment, if it is in that environment.
