Calculating with CAs
- Humans do more than categorise. Humans also calculate.
- The scientific community does not really have much of an
idea of how to calculate with neurons.
- One thing that humans do is calcuate.
- As CAs are the neural basis of concepts, and concepts
are constantly used in calculation, CAs should be
involved in calculation.
- There are programs that simulate human behavior.
- Some (e.g. ACT and SOAR) propose to simulate or be
able to simulate all human behavior.
- They're called cognitive architectures.
- Can we build a cognitive architecture based on neurons?
- Both ACT and SOAR (and most other cognitive architectures) are
based on rules.
- So, if we can implement rules in neurons we'll be able
to build a full-fledged architecture.
- Rule based systems are also Turing Complete.
