The group has been running for about 20 years, and there are a lot of people interested in a lot of things.
We have expertise in vision, information dynamics, deep nets, support vector machines, genetic algorithms and other techinques.
One of our standard approaches is to run particular algoritms on standard machine learning benchmarks. However, we are also interested in new machine learning problems. We'd be happy to have a conversation about a problem.
In particular, we have weekly seminars, and we'd be interested in you describing your problems to us.
This could lead to a particular collaboration on solving a problem.
It looks like we're going to have a new MSc in Data Science starting in October 2018. We could talk about a range of things including you providing students, problems, MSc theses, data, and help in course and module design.
