Chris Huyck and Why I'm Here
- I'm Chris Huyck and I'm Middlesex's Reader in Artificial Intelligence
- I lead the AI research group here at Middlesex, with several other
faculty members.
- I need good people to work with.
- One skill that you need to do AI, is to program.
- I want to find good programmers, teach them how to do AI,
and get them to do it.
- So, I'm starting a monthly session to teach people about AI,
to get them involved in developing AI applications, and
in doing AI research.
- I hope this will lead to good BSc theses (supervised by me
and other faculty in the AI research group),
- and a pool of people who could continue working with us
as MSc and PhD students, and then as research fellows.
- I also hope to help people find jobs, and to keep those
industrial people involved in the group.
- For those interested, I have business cards.
