Conclusion
- This talk is not about new evidence, but a proposal
to find a system that represents CAs properly.
- Take Home Points
- CAs are persistent, learned, synchronous, and are
each a relatively small subset of all the neurons.
- As psychological phenomena, they represent short and
long-term memories.
- We do not have good simulated neural models of CAs. (I'm
unaware of anyone who does.)
- A good next model would solve the semantic net problem.
- Does that seem reasonable?
- Thanks to the Human Brain Project for funding parts of this
work.
