Cell Assembly Robots
CABots
- A few years ago, we developed a series of
agents in a virtual
environment.
- The agents did all of their processing with simulated
neurons.
- The environment and the agent all ran on a standard PC, in roughly
real time with about 100,000 simulated neurons.
- The neural model was a fatiguing leaky integrate and fire model.

- They made extensive use of recurrently connected neurons known
as Cell Assemblies, and are thus called Cell Assembly Robots,
CABots for short.
- For example, when a visual item is present in the environment,
a CA for that item is active.
