Cognitive Maps
- One thing we've learned from CABot1 and CABot2 is that
fLIF neurons are Turing complete, so we can program anything
we like theoretically.
- CABot3 is in the process of being built.
- One thing we were interested in doing was cognitive mapping.
- A PhD student of mine (Kailash Nadh) has implemented a form
of mapping to enable the system to map the connectivity of
rooms.
- We'll be integrating that into CABot3.
- Beyond that, Cognitive Mapping applies to non-spatial domains.
- All of that Mind Map stuff is cognitive mapping.
- Cognitive Maps also work for processing. I have a cognitive
map about how to cook and a specialised one for how to cook lentils.
- CABot5 will have these non-spatial maps.
