Extranets

• There is one Internet, and lots of intranets, and lots of extranets.
• Extranets are intranets that can be accessed from the Internet.
• Extranets have some protection so that not just anyone can access them.
• I sometimes read my Middlesex email from home. That's an Extranet.
• Oasis access from home is an Extranet.
• Both of these activities require a password.
