Cell Assemblies
- Let me give a talk that goes with the paper.
- One basic theory that the paper hangs on is the Cell Assembly
hypothesis.
- CAs are circuits of neurons that have high mutual synaptic
strength.
- The neural basis of concepts is a CA.
- The fLIF neurons are a way of modelling neurons, and
can be used to implement and learn CAs.
- The CA hypothesis is long standing (Hebb 1949) and has
a lot of evidence to support it.
- We also talked about it before.
