Cognitive Maps and Mind Maps

• There is a large amount of research on Cognitive Maps.
• The Buzans' (one of the Buzans for one of the readings) have popularized it under the term Mind Maps.
• He has a fair few rules to make maps, but the one I like most is develop your own style.
• I've been using Cognitive Maps for years. However, I just use nodes (that have the terms) and connections (that can be labelled or not).
• One thing that I got from the book was to use colour.
• One of Buzan's rules that I really like is to use pictures. I'm lousy at drawing, but am trying.
• One rule that I ignore is to use only single words.
• I just find that I have to use tuples like "cognitive map".
