Overview

• The Qualitative Method Wiki states that one way to differntiate qualitative research from Quantitative is that "Qualitative research is exploratory while Quantitative research hopes to be conclusive."
• I expect that one lecture is too little time to cover this in any reasonable depth.
• So, I think we should dig down into a few particular methods.
• Some that I'm not doing for no particular reason are:
  • Analytic induction
  • Critical Theory
  • Focus groups
  • Morphological Analysis
  • Phenomenography
  • Sampling
